I can't delete a file

If you are unable to delete one or more files, consider the following possible causes.

  • You don't have the right permission to delete files.

To delete a file from an instance, you must have the Instance Editor role. Instance Viewers cannot delete files. If you do not have this role, ask an Instance Editor to delete the file for you, or request an invitation to become an Instance Editor.

  • Give it some time.

Deleting files may take several seconds. Wait briefly for the operation to complete.

  • You are looking in the wrong place.

To delete files, you must be in the CURRENT STATE of an instance of which you are an editor.

  • You have lost connection to the internet.

If your internet connection is interrupted, the file deletion may fail. Once your connection is restored, refresh the page and try deleting the file again.

  • There has been a server-side error and the file deletion request was not properly processed by Nuvolos.

In rare cases, a server-side error may prevent the deletion request from being processed correctly. Wait a few moments, refresh the page, and then try again.
