I can't upload a file

If you are unable to upload one or more files to an instance, consider the following possible causes.

  • You don't have the right permission to add files.

To upload a file to an instance, you must have the Instance Editor role. Instance Viewers cannot upload files. If you do not have the required permission, contact an Instance Editor to discuss the upload.

  • You followed the wrong steps for uploading the file.

Make sure you follow the correct steps required for uploading files. For more details, see the relevant documentation.

  • Give it some time.

Uploading files, especially large ones, may take several seconds. Wait briefly for the operation to complete.

  • You are looking in the wrong place.

To upload files, you must be in the CURRENT STATE of an instance for which you are an editor.

  • You have lost connection to the internet.

If your internet connection is interrupted, the upload may fail. Once your connection is restored, refresh the page and try uploading the file again.

  • There has been a server-side error and the file upload request was not properly processed by Nuvolos.

In rare cases, a server-side error may prevent the upload from being processed correctly. Wait a few minutes, refresh the page, and then try again.
