I can't start an application
If you are unable to start an application in Nuvolos, consider the following possible causes.
You don't have the right permission to start the application.
To start an application in an instance, you must be the editor of that instance. Instance viewers cannot start or stop applications. If you do not have permission to start the application, contact the instance editor and ask them to grant the required access.
The application you are trying to start is already open in another tab.
If the application is already open in another browser tab, Nuvolos may return an error when you try to start it again. Check your open tabs and confirm that the application is not already running there.
You have reached the concurrency limit.
Nuvolos allows only a limited number of applications to run concurrently. Once you reach that limit, you cannot start additional applications until one of the running applications is closed. If necessary, contact your class or project administrator to request a higher limit.
The application is still starting.
Starting an application may take several seconds. Wait briefly before trying again.
You are looking in the wrong place.
To start an application, you must be in the CURRENT STATE of an instance for which you are the editor. For more information on how to find an application, check the documentation here.
There is no application to start.
Confirm that the application has been created before attempting to start it. If it does not yet exist, create it first.
The application you want to start does not exist anymore because it was deleted.
The application may no longer exist because it was deleted by an instance editor.
The application's selected size is no longer available in your resource pool.
If you see the message “The size currently selected for this application is not available any more in your resource pool”, the node pool previously assigned to the application is no longer available. Click Go to scale page in the error dialog to open the application’s resource configuration and select a different available size. If you have questions about available sizes, contact support.
You have lost connection to the internet.
If your internet connection is interrupted, the request needed to start the application may fail and the browser may not receive the required data from the server. Restore the connection, refresh the page, and try again.
A server-side error prevented Nuvolos from providing the data required to start the application.
In some cases, it might happen that a server-side error occurs such that the application data is not served properly, making it impossible to start the application. Wait for a few minutes, refresh the page, and then try to start the application.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please contact support at [email protected].
