I can't log in via my institution

This page applies to users who are attempting to sign in to Nuvolos using Access through your institution.

If you can successfully sign in on your institution’s login page but Nuvolos then displays an authentication error, share this page with your institution’s IT department so they can review and update their configuration.

Technical details

Nuvolos is a registered service provider (SP) at the Switch AAI federation. Any identity provider (IdP) that supports this federation may be used with Access through your institution.

Required attributes

After a successful sign-in, Nuvolos must receive the following attribute in order to identify the user on subsequent sign-ins:

• eduPersonTargetedID

• email

IdPs not returning the above info cannot be used to authenticate with Nuvolos.

Desired attributes

The following attributes improve usability, but Nuvolos can still function without them:

• first and last name of principal
