# I can't delete a space

If you are unable to delete a space, consider the following possible causes.

* **You are not a member of the organisation where you want to delete a space.**

Spaces exist within an organisation. To delete a space, you must belong to that organisation.

* **You do not have permission to delete a space.**

To delete a space, you must hold one of the following roles: organisation manager, organisation faculty, or space administrator. If you do not have one of these roles, contact a user who does and request either the appropriate access or deletion of the space.

* **You have lost connection to the internet.**

If you lose your internet connection, the server may not receive your request to delete the space. After reconnecting, refresh the page and try deleting the space again.

* **There has been a server-side error and the space deletion request was not properly processed by Nuvolos.**

In some cases, a server-side error may prevent Nuvolos from processing the deletion request correctly. Wait a few moments, then try deleting the space again.
