I can't stop a running application

If you are unable to stop a running application in Nuvolos, consider the following possible causes.

  • You do not have permission to stop the application.

To stop a running application in an instance, you must be the editor of that instance. Instance viewers cannot start or stop applications. If you do not have the required permission, contact an instance editor.

  • Give it some time.

Stopping an application may take some time. Wait briefly for the operation to complete.

  • You are looking in the wrong place.

To stop an application, you must either be in the CURRENT STATE of an instance for which you are the editor, or use the dashboard, where you can view and stop your running applications.

  • There is no running application to stop.

Confirm that the application has been created and started before attempting to stop it.

  • The application you want to stop no longer exists because it was deleted.

The application may no longer exist because it was deleted by an instance editor.

  • You have lost connection to the internet.

If your internet connection is interrupted, the stop request may not reach the server and the application may remain running. Restore the connection, refresh the page, and try again.

  • There has been a server-side error and the application stop data was not properly served by Nuvolos.

n some cases, a server-side error may prevent the stop request from being processed correctly. Wait a few minutes, refresh the page, and then try again.
